About the role

Yunggudja' PTY LTD Mentoring/CP Services is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated NDIS Support Worker to join our team in Adelaide, SA. As a casual Support Worker/Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and individualised care to our clients with disabilities, empowering them to live their best lives. With a focus on assisting with daily living activities, community access, and social engagement, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support while working with a company that prides itself in delivering the best service possible.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with personal care, including showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Providing support with household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
  • Facilitating social and recreational activities to enhance clients' community participation and independence
  • Advocating for clients' needs and preferences, and collaborating with their support networks
  • Maintaining detailed client records and reporting any changes or concerns
  • Upholding the organisation's policies, procedures, and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or Disability Services (or equivalent)
  • The Certificate III or IV qualification can be obtained within 3 months of starting
  • Experience providing support to individuals with a range of disabilities and complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives
  • A current driver's licence and reliable mode of transportation
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain in first 3 months of employment
  • First Aid certification
  • A valid WWCC (working with children check)
  • A valid police clearance
