The Position
Field Service Technician / Mechanic (Light or Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Plant Mechanic)

Roster:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8-hour days) with RDO's accrued each Month

Role Locations:
Melbourne, VIC – 1 x position in the South Eastern Regions and 1 x position in the North Western Regions

Rate
: Annual Salary Package up to $110K + Overtime + Vehicle + Phone + Tablet + Uniforms

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Mechanic to join the Komatsu Forklifts team in our Melbourne, VIC – 1 x position in the South Eastern Regions and 1 x position in the North Western Regions .

You will be required to provide skilful and efficient maintenance and repair of Komatsu forklifts & allied equipment, and through your efforts, contribute to a professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional level of customer service.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work orders & timesheets
  • Diagnose and determine faults on our equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on our equipment
  • Complete major rebuilds and repairs as required
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a time critical environment

Qualification, Requirements & Skills

  • A proven high level of customer service
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Light or Heavy Vehicle)
  • Prior servicing, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic experience
  • Time management skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of industry safety protocols
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck
  • LPG Qualifications – Desirable
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Experience maintaining forklifts - Desirable
  • Auto Electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded
