As Senior Manager, Second Line Non-Financial Controls, you will be a critical member of the risk and compliance team at Zip. You will be a hands-on expert responsible for the execution and enhancement of our non-financial control environment within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. You'll partner with business leaders across various functions to drive a culture of proactive risk management and control ownership. This full-time role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can operate with a high degree of independence and has a proven track record in control design, implementation and assurance.

Interesting problems you will get to solve:

  • Program Execution: Lead the second-line effectiveness testing and assurance activities for non-financial controls across the ANZ business.
  • Control Oversight: Review and coordinate the design, implementation, and documentation of new or updated non-financial controls in partnership with business control owners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for non-financial control matters, presenting regular updates to senior leadership on the control environment's health and the progress of key initiatives.
  • Issue Remediation: Lead remediation planning for control deficiencies, ensuring root causes are addressed and sustainable solutions are implemented.
  • Change Advocacy: Support and champion training initiatives that drive greater understanding and ownership of controls among business leaders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of internal controls frameworks, such as COSO and SOX, and their application within a regulated environment like ANZ
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with enterprise risk and technology teams to leverage GRC tools and other solutions to improve control efficiency and maturity.

What You'll Bring To The Team

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in internal audit, controls, or second-line risk roles, preferably within a regulated or fast-growing fintech environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of internal controls frameworks, such as COSO, and their application within a regulated environment like ANZ.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence and engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Professional Certification: A professional qualification such as a CA, CPA, CIA, or similar is desired
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
