Overview
My client is a rapidly scaling proptech platform that's transforming how property data is accessed and used across Australia. With a strong product-market fit and national expansion underway, they're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their high-performing engineering team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to contribute to a product that's reshaping the property industry.

This is more of a backend leaning role with capability to jump into some of the frontend where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development across the full stack using Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces
  • Integrate Stripe for payments, billing, and subscription workflows
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver new features and improve platform performance
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all systems.

  • Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Frontend: React, TypeScript
  • Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda)
  • DevOps: Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform
  • Integrations: Stripe, mapping APIs, property data feeds

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React
  • Solid understanding of AWS architecture and deployment workflows
  • Experience integrating Stripe or similar payment platforms
  • Passion for clean code, testing, and scalable design
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Bonus: exposure to geospatial data, mapping tools, or property platforms
