Our client, a respected name in the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Development Underwriter – Commercial Motor to join their high-performing team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically skilled underwriter to play a key role in driving profitable growth and building strong broker relationships across the region.

About the Role As a Senior Development Underwriter, you will:

  • Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority across Commercial Motor portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, fostering new business opportunities and portfolio growth.
  • Provide tailored underwriting solutions that balance risk management and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding service and technical support.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance underwriting performance and product development.

About You You will bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in Commercial Motor or Fleet underwriting.
  • Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills.
  • Proven experience in broker relationship management and business development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with a focus on results.
