Job description:

The Opportunity:

Due to continual growth across our business, we have multiple opportunities for Surveyors to join our Medium Density team. Surveyors in this team play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services, primarily focusing on set-out, as-constructed, and conformance surveys on projects related to retirement living, townhouse developments, and mixed-use developments.

Any given day may see you…

  • Conduct set outs as per Area Manager / Foreman instructions.
  • Conduct feature, level and as-constructed surveys as per Area Manager / Foreman instructions.
  • Undertake surveying responsibilities with the opportunity to use leading edge equipment and technologies.
  • Communicating how survey set out is to be used by construction crews.
  • Liaising with Foreman regarding site activities and ensure required survey information is in place for the next activity.
  • Liaise with the Project Managers and/or Consultants to resolve design conflicts.
  • Maintain digital data and document control as per company standards.
  • Liaising with Area Manager and Project Manager to ensure current revisions are utilised.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure the client is supported by correct technologies.
  • Overseeing equipment maintenance.
  • Training Junior Staff on survey set outs and digital data management.

Here's what we are looking for…

A person with survey experience that is wanting to become part of a new and developing team in emerging markets.

They must:

  • Hold relevant qualifications in either Survey, Spatial Science and/or Geometrics.
  • Demonstrate experience gained across subdivision and land development projects.
  • Demonstrate exposure to using Total Stations is advantageous coupled with experience using GPS equipment and machine guidance technology.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
  • Be outcomes focused and have the ability plan and keep organised.
  • Have a customer focused mindset.
  • An attitude that engages all individuals by way of clear communication and effective interaction.
