We're expanding and looking for experienced Principal and Senior Mining Consultants to join our Underground team at one of our Australian offices located in Perth and Melbourne.

Mining Plus is a leading and respected mining technical services provider, comprising professionals specializing in geology, mining engineering (Surface and Underground), geotechnical engineering, mine ventilation, and operational management. About the Role:

Every day brings new challenges as you manage projects across various commodities, geographies, and clients—from emerging miners to major industry players. As a Principal/Senior Consultant, you'll deliver top-tier consulting services, collaborate with international experts, and lead teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, within budget, and on schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide expert technical advice and oversight
  • Conduct mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
  • Author and peer-review technical reports
  • Mentor staff and oversee project contractors
  • Drive business improvements and support business development activities
  • Prepare proposals and contracts
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget

About You:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the mining industry (Senior Mining Consultant)
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the mining industry (Principal Mining Consultant)
  • Proficiency in Mine Planning software (Deswik preferred)
  • Experience in managing technical projects and stakeholders to deliver projects
  • Proven track record in client relationship building and networking
  • Ability to work independently or within teams
  • Strong financial management skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Consulting experience is highly regarded
  • Legal Work Entitlement within Australia
