Steensen Varming
Steensen Varming are looking for an Energy Modeller, to join our Sydney based Building Services team. This role provides the best of both worlds working in a global company, within a local studio- based, supportive, established team. With a strong portfolio of secured projects, Steensen Varming is privileged to be working with excellent clients and design professionals on some of the most exciting projects both nationally and globally.
The chosen candidate will require the ambition to always strive to deliver only the highest level of work within their expertise, support skills development in energy modelling in local studios, as well as always ensuring professionalism throughout projects.
Candidate Requirements
Applications are invited from creative, proactive people, with experience in the following:
- A Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related subject
- Experience (minimum 3-4 years) in Building Services Engineering or Modelling, and a passion to make a difference in the industry
- An interest in sustainable design practices and desire to foster real client relationships
- Knowledge and application of IES and IES HVAC for system design, optimisation and Green Star / BREEAM or equivalent compliance.
- Knowledge of, or interest to continue our team's expansion into new and emerging software's such as ladybug and Pollination tools etc.

Originally founded in Denmark in 1933 and today operating in Europe, Asia, Australia and USA, Steensen Varming operates along the principles of an integrated design studio working within a specialist field to provide the best service to our clients.
Steensen Varming works on a variety of exciting projects from the British Museum to Sydney Opera House to Scott Base Antarctic Research Station, encompassing architectural and urban design, the private, corporate and public sectors, from modest upgrades to World Heritage Sites.
