About the Role
We are a trusted, family-owned dental practice located in the heart of Concord, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our local community. A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated and caring Oral Health Therapist/Dental Hygienist to join our team 1 day per week (Fridays), with the potential for additional days in the future.
About You
We are looking for a professional and personable OHT/DH who is proactive, empathetic, and dedicated to excellence. You will bring warmth, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills to our close-knit team and to the patients we serve.
2+ years of experience working as an OHT is preferred, though not required.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Providing high-quality oral health therapy for patients of all ages, including examinations, diagnosis, and preventive treatment
- Inspiring patients through meaningful dialogue and engagement to achieve superior lifelong oral health, aesthetic, and self-esteem outcomes
- Treatment and maintenance of periodontal health and hygiene, especially in patients with periodontal disease and dental implants
- Being involved with the dentist in orthodontic patient management
- Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records and adhering to all infection control protocols
- Supporting and motivating the broader team through professionalism, initiative, and alignment with the practice's values and mission
- Contributing regularly to patient education across our digital platforms (ie. Blog posts)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Oral Health degree /Dental Hygienist Diploma or degree and current AHPRA registration
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and build rapport
- Ability to obtain and maintain all relevant clearances, including:
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in patient outcomes
