Foster a love of the humanities in students and lead a dedicated team We are seeking a vibrant and dynamic individual for the position of Humanities Learning Leader within our Leadership team. In this role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative programs that enhance the learning experience of our students while inspiring them to engage critically with literature, history, philosophy, and the arts.

With a focus on cultivating an inclusive and engaging environment, you'll collaborate with fellow learning leaders, staff, and the broader community to encourage interdisciplinary approaches that value diverse perspectives and promote critical thinking. As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring educators, overseeing curriculum development, and ensuring high standards of academic excellence. Your passion for the humanities and commitment to education will directly impact our students' intellectual growth and personal development.

To be successful you will have qualifications in teaching and be currently registered with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). You will:

  • be accredited to teach in a Catholic school (or be working towards such an accreditation)

  • demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills that will see you effortlessly cultivate effective working relationships across the College.

  • demonstrate drive, passion, a positive attitude, and proactive approach towards your work, understanding the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in building trust and a positive learning community across the College.

  • have demonstrated understanding and knowledge of current and educational trends, issues, policies, and directions.

  • proactively develop strategies that will ensure education opportunities for students to reach their goals.

  • have excellent organisational skills, planning, analytical and data mining capabilities.

  • be a resourceful leader and team member who can operate in a mentoring, collaborative and inclusive manner.
