We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Auspire Care team and provide essential support to our elderly residents and their families.

Position: Support Worker - Aged Care

Location: Broadmeadows VIC 3047

Role Overview: As a Support Worker, you will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and provide compassionate, person-centred care in line with individual care plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel between client's homes
  • Supporting clients with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Providing social support and transportation services as required
  • Providing personal care, including showering, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Ensure that client's rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients' conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Auspirecare processes
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian driver's license

  • Qualifications:Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent. Paid placements are also accepted.
  • First Aid & CPR: Current certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Driver's License: A valid Victorian license and a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Police Check: Needs to be at least 90 days old.
  • Commitment to Person-Centred Care: Strong understanding of community care and a dedication to delivering high standards for clients and families.
  • Team Player:Thrives in a collaborative team environment while valuing one-on-one client connections.
  • Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable
  • Understanding of client directed care

  • A current Working With Children Check card (Employee)
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
  • COVID Vaccinations (At least 2)
