Team Lead Dynamics and Power Platform

The Team Lead role is responsible for local team management functions within a designated delivery Practice.
The role is suitable for a Senior Architect or Principal Consultant level teammates based in Qld or NSW to lead our growing team in these regions.
The Team Lead will provide a direct reporting relationship for a group of teammates (max. 15) within a Practice, and ensure high levels of focus on teammate engagement, satisfaction, progression, and talent acquisition. Success in this role will come from maintaining a consistent level of team and 1:1 communication across your direct reports, to champion Insight culture and teammate engagement.
The role will also contribute to broader Practice initiatives as required by the Practice Lead/Manager and will collaborate with peer Team Leads to ensure consistency of teammate experience and foster a 'best practice' mindset.
Note that the Team Lead role is a set of responsibilities that are additive to existing billable/presales activities within Professional Services delivery and will form approximately 30-50% of weekly hours (depending on number of direct reports). The below describes only the Team Lead responsibilities and experience level.
Teammate management and talent management:
- Ensure the highest possible levels of teammate retention and promote Insight as a desirable employer.
- Maintain, enhance, and foster communications across the team and with teammates individually.
- Ensure a regular cadence of 1:1 Connections (minimum weekly/fortnightly).
- Adhere to and help refine the Practice and regional communications plans.
- Promote networking, social and technology events.
- Champion a 'great place to work' culture.
- Liaise with Career Coaches to support teammate career progression and growth.
- Interface with Practice Lead/Manager and P&C as appropriate for training and similar requests for teammates.
- Represent submissions to the Promotion Review Board.
- Participate in talent acquisition activities.
- Raising new hiring requisitions (with input from the Practice Lead/Manager).
- Coordinating/conducting interviews with candidates.
- Providing final hiring recommendations to the Practice Lead/Manager.
- Ensure onboarding activities for new team hires are completed effectively.
- Resolve areas of teammate under-performance.
- Investigate and assess concerns.
- Liaise with P&C and the Practice Lead/Manager to define improvement plans.
Execute and monitor improvement plans with the teammate.
- Efficiently action relevant teammate HR/admin tasks, including expense and leave approval.
- Conduct annual salary reviews and on-demand Market Rate Adjustments, reviewing with the Practice Lead/Manager.
- Provide input to the broader Practice capability management plan, and support associated professional development activities for direct reports.
Delivery Management
- Provide input into Practice capacity planning and resource forecasting
- Maintain the schedule for the team, liaising with the Practice Lead/Manager regarding bench or other utilisation challenges
- Ensure appropriate allocation of presales capacity where applicable within the team, for allocation to opportunities by the Practice Lead/Manager
Essential Skills:
- A highly personable and communicative manner, well-suited to building strong interpersonal and team-level relationships.
- Prior experience leading teams is highly desirable.
- Ability to balance assigned billable and presales tasks with team lead responsibilities – manage time and priorities effectively.
