About the roleMake a meaningful impact by supporting two customers in the Illawarra community to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
- Provide person-centred support to two customers with complex mental health and behavioural needs
- Assist with community access, shopping, attending appointments, and social engagement
- Support emotional wellbeing through positive behaviour strategies and active listening
- Promote independence by assisting with meal preparation, household tasks, and transport
- Complete documentation, follow individual Behaviour Support Plans, and report incidents appropriately
*About you*
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (or equivalent experience)
- Experienced in supporting individuals with complex mental health conditions and behaviours of concern
- Skilled in de-escalation, communication, and active listening, with a calm and patient approach
- Reliable, assertive, and able to maintain professional boundaries and clear reporting practices
- Hold a Driver's License, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR
