About the role

Isamaezing Care Services is seeking a Casual Disability & Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Lake Haven, NSW. In this flexible casual role, you will provide personalised support to clients with a range of disabilities and mental health needs, helping them to live independently and participate actively in their local community.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful social and recreational activities
  • Advocate for client needs and liaise with families, healthcare providers, and other support services
  • Implement and monitor individual support plans, documenting progress and adjusting care as required
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities and/or mental health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Shift times could include split/broken shifts.
  • Requiring staff with availability for shifts in the ranges of 6am- 12pm and 2pm-10pm. (shift times may vary)
  • Current first aid certificate and driver's licence
