HR Business Partner -Short Term Contract

A leading resources company is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide cover during a short-term assignment in their West Perth office. This fixed-term role runs for 5 weeks, ensuring continuity across HR operations while delivering trusted advice and support to managers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and advice on employee matters, including performance issues and investigations (typically led onsite by management, with you supporting as an advisor).
  • Conditions & Compliance: Review and prepare change of conditions letters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Award Interpretation: Assess pay and conditions against the Mining Award, Professional Services Award, and Clerks Award.
  • Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Payroll Coordination: Oversee payroll processes and liaise with payroll staff for accuracy and timeliness.
  • General HR Support: Handle HR issues and queries as they arise.

About You

  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or advisory role.
  • Confident understanding of Australian employment legislation and Award interpretation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to offer clear and practical advice.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
  • Able to quickly step in and deliver professional, reliable HR guidance.
