HR Business Partner

DP World is looking for a passionate and experienced HR Business Partner to help shape the people experience at our Fremantle terminal, supporting a safe, high-performing, and engaged workforce.
In this role, you will be both strategic and hands-on, partnering with terminal leaders and the VP-People to deliver people initiatives that drive performance, build capability, and strengthen our culture. You will play a key part in aligning national and regional HR strategies with local business needs, ensuring our people agenda truly supports operational success.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the strategic delivery of the employee lifecycle for Fremantle Port, ensuring that recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and offboarding processes are aligned with operational goals and support a high-performing, safety-focused, and agile workforce
- Ensure effective alignment of HR strategies and initiatives as defined by DP World Australia (DPWA) and the APAC Regional HR team with local business objectives and operational needs.
- Facilitate key people processes within the business unit, such as performance reviews, talent management, and succession planning, in collaboration with functional leaders.
- Develop, monitor, and analyse critical HR metrics and workforce data to support strategic decision-making, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across business units.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks, promoting adherence to internal standards and external legislative requirements.
- Actively contribute to national HR projects and cross-functional initiatives that support the broader DPWA business, driving innovation and consistency in HR service delivery.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; CIPD or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 plus years of HR business partnering experience driving strategic partnerships with business leaders to shape and execute impactful people strategies.
- Strong leadership in managing HR projects, driving change, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to align HR strategies to business performance and operational goals.
- Expertise in employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning, with the ability to coach and influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical ability to use HR data for informed decision-making.
- Experience in logistics, ports, supply chain, or industrial sectors is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, industrial agreements, and HR policies.
