The Opportunity
Are you a qualified High Voltage Electrician looking for a secure and rewarding opportunity? Join our dynamic team delivering excellence in mining while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental standards.
About The Role
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a new workforce that is focused on developing a strong performance culture and a culture that values everyone's contribution equally. As a High Voltage Electrician you will be required to:
- Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of AC drive Electric Haul Trucks, workshops and facilities as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
- Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
- Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs.
- Periodical Statutory Electrical Testing/ Inspections
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
About you
As a successful applicant, you'll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role. The ideal candidate will hold:
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent
- HV Switching certification desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role in heavy industry or construction
- Current LVR/ CPR
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Current Standard 11
