The Role

We are seeking a suitably qualified electrician for a permanent role in the surface infrastructure team. The role is based in the Bowan Basin on a 7 on 7 off day shift only roster.

Flights (Brisbane) and Vehicle can be negotiated for the correct candidate

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical maintenance as required by the mine site.
  • Attend breakdowns on site as directed by coordinators and control room
  • Identify OH&S issues that may pose risk by conducting risk assessments, system audits and site inspections.
  • Liaise with the leadership team to ensure documentation/reporting is processed and any issues impacting the project, customer, delivery schedule or profitability are identified.

Essential Requirements

  • QLD Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License (Essential)
  • QLD Driver's License (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of the application and the use of electrical equipment on a coal mining site.
  • Understanding of electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.
  • Availability to work regular overtime
  • Pre-Employment and random Drug and Alcohol testing
  • 2 Years Mine Site (Coal) experience
