ABOUT THE ROLE

Don't want to be stuck behind a desk? We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning person to join our Operations team at our Acacia Ridge QLD 4110 branch. Enjoy the security of this permanent full-time position working Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm. You will mostly be working outdoors in the salvage yard and will work closely with your team to:

• Ensure all incoming stock is catalogued (features details and damage recorded), photographed and uploaded to our system accurately and within the required timeframes
• Unload stock from tow trucks as they arrive at the branch, sometimes using a forklift
• Remove salvage trucks, machinery and equip – this is salvage vehicles only. Main role is forklift operator.
• Assist in the set-up of the auction and sale yards by moving assets around the yard in preparation for the monthly auction
• Deliver outstanding customer service to vendors and buyers by cataloguing stock correctly and upon delivery of assets to buyers
• Follow all WHS policies and procedures as required
• Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the branch

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Passion for salvage trucks, machinery and equipment, or experience in a similar role/industry will be highly regarded
• Current & valid drivers' license with ability to drive manual (essential)
• Hold a current and valid forklift license (essential)
• Attention to detail
• Competent verbal & written communication skills
• Basic computer skills/ability to use an iPad
• Ability to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team
• The successful candidate must be willing to work occasional overtime on weekdays where required.
