Join a national manufacturing company successful in delivering a range of products, services and solutions to their customers in the building and construction sector. Successful, due to their commitment in providing an exceptional level of value-add and customer service, they now seek a proven Senior Sales / BDM with specific experience gained in the building industry in South Australia - in reinforcing steel or concrete related products / systems – to join their business.

Your role will be to proactively deliver the State's business sales revenue and margin objectives for South Australia, as well as proactively growing the company's profitability in line with the overall strategy and objectives.  You will be actively involved in contributing to the development of the business sales and marketing strategy, executing the sales plan and in doing so building on the company's base sales volume, budget, and market share in the Region.  This will entail targeting and proactively calling on customers, building strong relationships, winning business and following through the sales process (including working with operations & the SA team), ensuring successful completion.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in sales in the building industry in reinforcing steel / associated products or concrete related product thereby understanding reinforcing product, application (reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, concrete foundations, slabs, walls, columns), your customer base, and this sector in South Australia.  Thus, you will have demonstrated managing and developing major / key customers, account analysis, and growing sales volume / revenue.  You will be: proactive and commercial, have strong presentation, sales and negotiation skills, organized, resilient, able to communicate effectively at all levels, flexible / adaptive, IT Literate, and be able to deliver real value to your customers.  Further, you will enjoy working in a team environment able to participate and help drive the success of the business in SA. Salary commensurate with experience.
