Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Ashdown People Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Our client, a well regarded consultancy with a strong footprint across cyber transformation, is looking for an experienced Cyber Project Manager to deliver a critical security uplift for a major enterprise customer. This role offers the chance to shape delivery across multiple streams in a complex and fast-moving environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for driving the successful execution of several concurrent cyber initiatives including SOC implementation, SIEM modernisation, vulnerability management, and network segmentation. The engagement is entering a key delivery phase, and you'll take the lead on structuring plans, managing delivery partners, and ensuring strong alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Lead project planning and delivery, ensuring scope, milestones, budgets, and risks are effectively managed.
  • Oversee coordination between internal consultants, client teams, and technology partners.
  • Manage third-party testing, DR exercises, and operational handovers to BAU.
  • Support Zero Trust and Essential Eight uplift programs, ensuring alignment with recognised frameworks such as NIST.
  • Champion communication, change readiness, and stakeholder engagement across business and technical groups.
  • Drive collaboration across IT and OT environments to enhance resilience and performance.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience managing cyber security projects within consultancy or enterprise settings.
  • Background in SOC, SIEM, DR, or network security delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – able to build trust and momentum across senior and technical audiences.
  • A pragmatic approach to project delivery in matrixed or cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure (Windows or network fundamentals).
  • Experience working in or supporting OT/industrial environments is highly advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 required; PROSCI or equivalent change credentials a plus.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected consultancy delivering meaningful work that strengthens the cyber resilience of major Australian organisations.

If you're a hands-on Project Manager who thrives in complex environments and wants to see tangible outcomes, we'd love to connect with you.
