Are you ready to lead the future of network performance systems at Optus? Based in Macquarie Park, Sydney we’re seeking a dynamic Senior Platform Owner to join our Digital Networks team in Macquarie Park. In this pivotal role, you’ll own and manage platforms, guiding their lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning, and ensuring they deliver maximum value to both internal and external customers.

Key Accountabilities:

- Oversee the full lifecycle of OSS platforms, enhancements, replacements, and decommissioning, ensuring compliance within security standards.

- Develop and maintain three-year roadmaps and architecture plans, aligning with business strategy and budget requirements.

- Govern supplier activities, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate resources (including internal teams and up to 15 vendor resources).

- Address escalated operational issues, optimize Capex/Opex, and ensure high platform adoption across engineering and operations.

- Ensure all projects conform to design, InfoSec, cyber, and data governance policies.

- Track and forecast up to $3M Capex and $0.5M Opex per annum for assigned platforms.

- Collaborate with contract managers, legal counsel, architects, and senior leaders across Optus Networks and IT.

Experience and Skills:

- Degree in Telecoms, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering; postgraduate or master’s preferred.

- Certifications in ITIL and project management (Prince or PMBOK) are highly regarded.

- Extensive professional experience in the Telco industry and 3 years in an OSS environment.

- Proven leadership in technical teams and project delivery.

- Expertise in OSS (fault, performance, configuration, service, customer experience management), Mobile OSS (RAN/Core), network management systems, large databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), and modern application environments (Linux, Windows Server, Kubernetes, etc.).

- Exceptional communication, documentation, negotiation, and adaptability skills.
