The Role

Play a key role in promoting a safe, prepared, and responsive work environment. This role blends hands-on field safety time with emergency response coordination and is the ideal challenge for someone who thrives in a operational mining setting. You will:

  • Support the development and implementation of the Mine Safety Management System and hazard standards
  • Monitor and deliver site health and safety activities and compliance
  • Lead or assist with incident investigations, including ICAM methodology
  • Administer site training programs and induction processes
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, including ERP scenarios and drills
  • Manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and First Aid Response
  • Maintain operational readiness of first aid facilities and site ambulance
  • Provide first aid support in line with qualifications and poison permit
  • Assist with injury management and workers compensation processes

About You

You're a safety-focused professional with strong judgement, clear communication, and a calm approach to emergency response.

You lead by example, work well across teams, and take pride in maintaining high standards in safety, training, and preparedness. You bring:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent Pre-Hospital Care
  • Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue including BG4
  • Accreditation to collect specimens for drug and alcohol testing
  • Experience in a similar role within underground mining (preferred)
  • ICAM investigation qualification and auditing experience (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with INX systems — InControl, InFlight, and Intuition (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate professionally and confidently at all levels — from frontline teams to senior leaders
  • A current WA C Class Manual Driver's Licence and the ability to obtain a valid National Police Clearance
