The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and skilled Senior Roadworks Traffic Manager, who is passionate about their profession and enjoys the rewards of a good challenge.
As the Senior Roadworks Traffic Manager, you will be responsible for managing the City's contracted traffic management and associated services, in accordance with the City's Contract Management Framework. Additionally, you will review Traffic Management Plans submitted to the City to ensure that all relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice are met, and provide professional traffic management advice and support to teams across the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM)
- Roadworks Traffic Manager (RTM) accreditation
- Current unrestricted C class national driver's licence
- Construction White Card
- Minimum of eight (8) years direct practical experience in the review, approval or design of Traffic Management Plans
- Experience as a Senior Road Safety Auditor, as a team member or auditor
- Knowledge of temporary road safety barrier design and traffic flow theory and analysis, or similar technical knowledge
- Minimum of eight (8) years in conducting Road Safety Audits (desirable)
- Experience with traffic signal operation, multiple work stages and management of cyclists and pedestrians (desirable)
