About the Business & Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at our busy and vibrant hotel located in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong housekeeping background and leadership potential who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

We can offer a Part-time (5 days) with guaranteed minimum working hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and day to day support to the housekeeping team to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and within designated time frames.
  • Actively participate in cleaning duties as required, demonstrating a hands-on approach to maintaining quality service.
  • Monitor and uphold cleaning standards in alignment with both contractual obligations and company policies.
  • Supervise the daily cleaning and presentation of all public and common areas, including bathrooms, lounges, reception areas, corridors, and other shared spaces.
  • Ensure all team members are fully informed of and adhere to relevant workplace health and safety regulations and internal company procedures.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and provide ongoing performance support to team members to enhance skills, efficiency, and overall service delivery.
  • Manage the inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring sufficient stock levels and appropriate maintenance.
  • Oversee efficient room turnover processes to ensure rooms are prepared promptly and to the required standard.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department for timely resolution.
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries and service requests, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes.
  • Foster effective collaboration and communication across housekeeping, reception, and maintenance teams to support seamless hotel operations.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment.
  • 2 years experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Capable of physical handling and the demands of the role.
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays as required.
