**Head of Cloud Services

The Role:**
We are seeking an experienced Head of Cloud Services to lead our multi-cloud strategy and operations. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic vision to architect and optimise our cloud platform infrastructure. This role focuses on navigating security, networking, and scaling challenges, implementing FinOps practices, and empowering our Development team for future success.

Your New Team:
You will lead our dedicated Cloud Services team within Technical Infrastructure, overseeing 3-6 direct reports. This team is pivotal in developing and enhancing our cloud platform capabilities, ensuring they meet current business demands and evolve for future growth. Your leadership will empower the team to deliver robust, scalable solutions, enabling our Development team's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the multi-cloud strategy and operations, ensuring reliable, usable, and accessible services.
• Cultivate a culture of collaboration, transparency, and high performance within the Cloud Services team.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in designing, deploying, and optimising cloud architectures.
• Champion technology, guiding the design of the enterprise Cloud platform for a fast-paced retail environment.
• Implement robust governance policies and accountability mechanisms for cloud systems.
• Embed security as a foundational element in all cloud environments, collaborating with security teams.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., APRA).
• Drive integration of cloud services to support products and initiatives across Auto & General.
• Foster continuous learning and improve employee experience within the team.
• Lead your team in providing effective technology change delivery and operational support.
• Challenge business norms to introduce disruptive technology and enhance people capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Senior Management role, with accountability for financial levers and leading large teams.
• Proven track record in driving performance, fostering a high-performance culture, and delivering results.
• Strong strategic thinking with a deep understanding of business processes and operational challenges.
• Significant knowledge of service delivery and leveraging technology to solve complex business problems in large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated success in implementing operational efficiency and business process enhancements.
• Ability to proactively identify and implement innovative technology solutions.
• A strong technical aptitude and a desire to remain hands-on, capable of deep-diving into technical issues, troubleshooting effectively, and mentoring the team through practical guidance.
• Experience in successfully delivering change and building highly engaged, diverse teams.
• Technology and significant Insurance Industry experience is preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of legislative frameworks relating to financial services is preferred.
