This is a great opportunity for a Level 1/2 Desktop Support Analyst to join a fantastic team, as part of a highly respected Inner Melbourne Public Sector Organisation. The role will initially be a 3-month contract, with an opportunity to extend for a further 6 months.

About You

  • Experience in IT Support role, troubleshooting issues with both PCs and peripheral hardware.
  • Advanced support skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Exchange, and Windows Desktop/Server operating systems.
  • Sound knowledge of general network and communication concepts and devices.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills across all IT devices.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work in high pressure situations working with senior stakeholders.

About the Role

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd level support to internal customers via the Service Desk, meeting all agreed SLAs.
  • Log and monitor all calls via the Service Desk system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support all remote site PCs, printers, remote access facilities, and specialist applications across all business units.
  • Install and maintain the PC fleet, operating systems, network components, and mobile devices.
  • Provide software support for all desktop applications including MS Office, Outlook, Authority and HP TRIM.
  • Maintain the accurate ICT Asset Register and update the knowledge base documentation.
