We are seeking an experienced Baker/Cook to join our busy team. You will be required to assist with their customised creations and everyday cake ranage.

A dedicated team player who works well under pressure in our busy store, with a genuine passion for the industry.

Main Duties Include :

  • Employed for the principal purpose of performing cooking duties and will also perform decorating and shop assistant duties as required or as directed.
  • Cleaning duties as detailed in the New Employee Induction Training Guide;
  • Read and follow the recipe book and Procedures and Operations Manuals.
  • Grease tins.
  • Date products according to TCS standards.
  • Weigh and prepare ingredients.
  • Operate mixers and bakery equipment.
  • Place mix into correct tins or (dated) foils.
  • Pre heat and set oven temperatures.
  • Place products into ovens quickly and safely.
  • Test if products are cooked.
  • Safely remove products from ovens/and or tins (wear oven gloves).
  • Scrape baking tins/trays.
  • Make boxes and package finished products.
  • Place products in correct allocated storage areas.
  • Complete Daily Production/Stocktake List.
  • Rotate stock (ingredients/products).
  • Maintain appropriate ingredients and stock levels (inform Franchisee / Manager of low stock levels).
  • Receive ingredients/confirm delivery using Food Safety Plan.
  • Follow and maintain TCS uniform guidelines and ensure high standards of personal hygiene and sanitation.
  • Maintain Food Safety Plan and Occupational Health & Safety Reports. Identify and report possible safety hazards.
  • Follow Procedures and Operations Manuals. Attend training sessions; and
  • Any other tasks reasonably required and as directed.
  • Team work; Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.

Preferred :

  • At least 2+ years of work experience as Baker/Cook would be preferable.
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Ability to work efficiently, meet production deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to following food safety regulations
  • Good organisational skills; A systematic approach to work and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Follow OHS
  • Previous experience in similar position is highly essential.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $31.62 – $34.48 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
