Qualified Educator Wanted – Parkwood, Gold Coast

We are seeking a qualified, flexible, and experienced Educator to provide before and after-school care and weekend care for a family in Parkwood, Gold Coast. The role involves caring for three children (ages 3, 7, and 11 years old) in a nurturing and structured home environment.

Position Details:

  • Days may vary depending on the family's roster (e.g., Thursday/weekends)
  • Example of working hours:
  • Weekends:
  • 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Weekdays:
  • 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM (includes school drop-off)
  • 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (includes school pick-up)

Hourly Rate:

$40.00 per hour (inclusive of Superannuation).

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care ACECQA approved Certified by a JP
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Experience working with multiple children in a home environment
  • Full driver's license and comfortable driving the family car
  • Flexibility to work varying days and shifts based on the family's roster
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with children and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care for the children
  • Assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Engaging the children in educational and age-appropriate activities
  • Assisting with homework
  • Ensuring a calm and supportive environment, especially during morning and evening routines

  • Police Clearance (Preferred)

  • Child Protection Refresher (Preferred)
  • Blue Card (Required)
  • Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care (Required)
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (Required)
  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Required)
