The Role
The Knowledge Management Officer is responsible to SO1 Operational Airworthiness for the management of Fleet Air Arm critical airworthiness instruments, operational policy and the co-ordination of FAA contributions to FAA platform and other relevant Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) Airworthiness Boards. These individual roles contribute to the OPAW team's overall role of supporting Commander Fleet Air Arm in his position as the Military Air Operator, and the Knowledge Manager is central to enabling this to occur.
