Morgan Mechanical Services is a long-established mechanical services contractor based in Malaga, specialising in major commercial construction projects across the Perth metropolitan area. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we're looking to expand our close-knit, high-performing team with a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Junior Estimator.

About the Role

As a Junior Estimator, you'll work closely with our senior estimator and engineering team to prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale HVAC projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in mechanical services within a well-established and fast-paced environment.

You'll be someone who thrives working independently, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is comfortable collaborating with colleagues at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Identify labour, materials, and time requirements
  • Compute costs by analysing labour, material, and time data
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
  • Provide value-engineered solutions with a focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance
  • Assist with tender submissions and cost breakdowns as required

What You'll Bring

  • Knowledge of HVAC engineering is essential
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Applied knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards is an advantage – particularly AS1668.1 & AS1668.2
