About the role
What you'll be doing
  • Lead and manage the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and statewide projects across the NSW Health system.
  • Analyse key data and Aboriginal Health information to identify current and emerging barriers and changing priorities and provide evidence-based recommendations about policy gaps and to resolve complex issues.
  • Coordinate preparation of high-quality written reports, briefs, discussion papers, and cabinet documents to inform or respond to agency or Government requests.
  • Lead, manage and support branch staff who oversee all aspects of project management and implementation across a portfolio of complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable and productive relationships and communication with senior Ministry and NSW Health staff, and other key stakeholders as part of providing quality and timely advice and action in relation to high level strategic issues relating to Aboriginal Health.
About you
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and motivating staff and develop capability and potential in others.
  • Demonstrated experience in exercising judgement in fast-paced, complex and sensitive environments.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing policy development, large projects and coordination functions
