About the Role

We are on the hunt for an experienced operations lead to assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in bringing our vision, purpose and values to life in the role of Cinema Group Bookings Lead. From shaking cocktails in Gold Class, to popping popcorn, delivering outstanding customer and client experiences will be at the forefront of everything you do You will deliver success by leading from the front and giving our clients an experience out of the ordinary.

Cinema Group Bookings Lead Accountabilities

In addition to Cinema Worker level 5 key accountabilities, this role will also be accountable for:

  • Coordinate, manage, and oversee execution of conferences and events at a site level
  • Monitor and ensure customer service to the highest possible standard and perform all duties associated with the day-to-day operation of a cinema complex.
  • Assume responsibility, as needed, for the administration of the cinema, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to fulfil administrative duties when required.
  • General maintenance/ adjustment of lighting, sound systems, computers and other technical equipment within the cinema that falls within capabilities and training
  • Operates flexibly between work areas.
  • Responsible for all primary cash handling and associated procedures.
  • Leading all local in-bound Conference and Event inquiries (from inquiry to event execution)
  • Liaising with the EVENT HQ Sales Team to execute Conference and Events flowing through from corporate inquiries.
  • Monitor all contractual agreements pertaining to events, group bookings and special concessions.
  • Coordinating internally with the Operations, Food & Beverage, and Technical Teams to deliver memorable events for our clients and their guests; including circulating run sheet/event order to all departments.
  • Conduct site inspections, handle group event inquiry calls, refer sales leads concerning multi- site, national bookings, or bulk voucher purchases to EVENT HQ Sales Team.
  • Forward correct confirmation letters, contracts, terms, and conditions to client in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Managing accounts (from invoice generation to payment)
  • Maintain impeccable filing system of current and pending quotations/ functions.
  • Maintain regular contact with client to follow up on progress of the function
  • Effectively utilise Vista - VGS and Programming for events.

Skills and Experience

These are the desired skills and experience for this role:

Previous experience with sales figures preferred.

Above average level computer literacy.

Previous supervisory experience in a conference and events role, retail, food service or hospitality/ leisure environment.

First Aid Certification.

RSA (Relevant to state/territory requirements)
