Development and Investment Attraction Coordinator, you
will be responsible for driving economic growth by promoting the City as a
desirable location for business investment, development, and innovation and support
the implementation and coordination of the City's strategic economic
development initiatives and functions.

Your new role:

Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership, development and
    coordination of the City's economic development team and functions
  • Coordinate the provision of high-level business
    analysis and economic modelling and the implementation of economic development
    strategies, investment attraction and expansion of business in the City.
  • Develop
    and support strong working relationships with the City's business, industry
    networks and relevant Government Agencies.
  • Prepare
    reports, submissions, and briefs to assist Council with advocacy with other
    levels of government, other institutions and in community engagement more
    broadly.
  • Prepare policy
    papers, letters, presentations, and briefing notes on key issues relevant to
    the local economy and business community.
  • Build
    collaborative relationships with external organisations to help advance
    Council's economic priorities
  • Project
    management the delivery of outcomes from economic development strategies and
    master plans.

What you will
need to succeed:

In
order to be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Class
    C Drivers Licence;
  • Qualifications
    relevant to the role i.e., Business, Marketing, Commerce, and/or relevant
    experience;
  • Substantial business
    and/or commercial industry experience relevant to the role; and
  • A strong awareness of business or industry drivers that enable
    success and growth.
