Job Opportunity:

Business Development Expert

We are seeking a skilled Business & Investment Advisor to promote the City as a desirable location for business investment, development, and innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify key sectors and businesses considering relocation or expansion within Wagga Wagga and develop an understanding of their economic and business needs.
  • Develop and implement a program to attract new businesses to Wagga Wagga including relocation to the Special Activation Precinct (SAP) or other areas within the City.
  • Market the City and develop pitches to businesses highlighting Wagga Wagga as a place to live, work and invest, including development of inward investment promotional materials and representation of the City at local business and industry forums, expos and conferences.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Class C Drivers Licence;
  • Qualifications relevant to the role i.e., Business, Marketing, Commerce, and/or relevant experience;
  • Substantial business and/or commercial industry experience relevant to the role; and
  • A strong awareness of business or industry drivers that enable success and growth.

This is a permanent, full-time position with access to Council's Flexible Working Hours Agreement, ongoing training and development opportunities, and generous leave entitlements.
