About the role

• Lead and manage the supply chain operations within the mining sector, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
• Collaborate with vendors to manage procurement processes and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Utilize SAP, CMS, and Primavera to optimize supply chain management and project scheduling.
• Conduct root cause analysis and problem rectification for any supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.
• Implement and oversee power/energy or mining processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Provide technical leadership and emergency response in the event of system outages or incidents.
• Ensure familiarity and compliance with SCADA protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and IP protocols.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.

About the candidate

• Possesses 5 to 10 years of experience in the mining industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions.
• Proficient in using SAP, CMS, and Primavera, showcasing the ability to manage complex systems and processes effectively.
• Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for identifying and addressing technical issues efficiently.
• Experienced in power/energy or mining processes and implementations, providing valuable insights into industry-specific operations.
• Skilled in working with vendors on procurement and ensuring SLA's are met, ensuring smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
• Holds Tier 1 EPCM experience, indicating a high level of expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction management.
• Familiar with SCADA protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and IP protocols, essential for effective communication and control in industrial environments.
• Capable of administrating Microsoft 365, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity within the team.
• Demonstrates strong vendor management skills, crucial for maintaining effective relationships and ensuring quality service delivery.
• Possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, enabling quick and effective resolution of technical challenges.
