About the Role

As a Field Manager, you'll play a central role in the success of our research operations. You will lead, coach, and motivate a team of interviewers who connect with Australians every day, gathering insights that shape our nation's understanding of itself.

This role goes beyond people management; it's about driving performance, ensuring quality, and enabling teams to deliver projects that have real value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a decentralised field team across Australia.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and KPI expectations to all interviewers.
  • Train and support interviewers all over Australia
  • Oversee workforce allocation, ensuring optimal coverage for each research project.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and resolve issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement training programs to maintain high standards of data collection.
  • Maintain strong communication with project staff, senior management, and field teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Manage field logistics including scheduling, onboarding/offboarding, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to oversee production and distribution of field materials.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years' experience in people management, particularly of a casual workforce
  • Disciplined approach to managing daily tasks and following up activity
  • A proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and collaborative mindset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in managing dispersed/field teams or within market research (highly regarded).
