About the roleThe Early Years and Youth Branch is seeking a casual Non-clinical Assessment Officer. The position is responsible for undertaking Home Support Assessments in client's homes, utilising the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) in the My Aged Care portal.
Working as part of a consortium under the Single Assessment System (SAS) which has been established by the Health Department to simplify and improve access to aged care services. This position works alongside the Clinical Aged Care and RAC Assessors to deliver Assessment Services in a streamlined client-focussed manner that supports the assessment process and overall experience for clients.
The person we are looking for will have excellent communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage their own workload with good time management skills.
Skills and experience require to perform the role- Demonstrated experience or an understanding of My Aged Care and the Commonwealth funded services for older people living at home.
- An ability to working with older people to assess and determine their home care service needs.
- Training or working knowledge relating to aged care and community support.
- High level computer skills including the use of technology such as laptops, mobile phones, and on-line portals.
- High degree of drive, initiative, motivation, and outcome orientation with the capacity to deal with multiple and conflicting priorities and manage own workload.Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Experience working with a diverse population and building and maintaining effective relationships.
- Current Driver's Licence and Working with Children's Check.
