Department for Infrastructure and Transport

Job reference: 700487

Location: ADELAIDE

Job status: Short Term Contract

Eligibility: Open to Everyone

At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.

Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening community. We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our staff.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused professional to join the team as a Senior Ministerial and Quality Assurance Officer on the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project — South Australia's largest infrastructure initiative.

In this role, you'll help make sure that important documents — such as correspondence, reports, and briefings — are accurate, clear, and delivered on time to support key decision-making. You'll also play a part in managing corporate requests and other sensitive material, ensuring everything meets high standards.

You'll work closely with project teams, government partners, and stakeholders to keep workflows on track, provide guidance, and maintain consistency across documents. This role suits someone who enjoys writing and editing, has strong communication skills, and can juggle priorities in a busy environment. Most of all, you'll take pride in producing high-quality work that contributes to one of the state's most significant projects.

About You

You're a clear and confident communicator who can work with people at all levels, handling sensitive issues with tact and professionalism. You enjoy collaborating, bringing a solutions-focused approach to negotiations, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement. With strong analytical skills, you can break down complex information, prepare clear reports, and provide advice that supports sound decision-making.

You're comfortable working in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities without losing sight of detail. Highly organised and professional, you manage confidential matters with discretion and ensure all communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with the Department's goals
