About the role
The Executive Director, Cleaning Services provides high-level strategic leadership to manage a large cleaning workforce and lead cleaning services on behalf of NSW Government agencies.
This critical role will oversee a large, geographically dispersed workforce, and drive effective tactical and risk management of cleaning services to drive optimal outcomes for schools, government agencies and cleaners.

About you
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and outcomes-focused leader with a proven track record in leading large, dispersed teams and large-scale contract management. With a customer-centric mindset, you possess exceptional communication, relational and influencing skills to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Strong contract management skills within a government environment are highly regarded. Your ability to anticipate challenges and lead through complexity will enable you to deliver impacted outcomes across organisational wide priorities.
As an experienced leader you will join an executive team focused on driving improved ways of working to deliver meaningful and long-lasting impact. You will be collaborative, courageous, agile, and disciplined about delivering outcomes for schools and government agencies across NSW.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as law, contracts, supply-chain management, facilities management, business, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check).
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management in a large complex organisation.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years).
