South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides essential support services to disadvantaged individuals of all backgrounds and ages. Our programs encompass a wide range of services including Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, Domestic and Family Violence Services, and Disability Services.
As a registered NDIS provider, CTC is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities in the South Burnett region. Our team operates from various locations including Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon, delivering personalised support plans that foster independence and community engagement.
Position OverviewThe Disability Support Worker plays a critical role in delivering high-quality support and care to our participants. You will work collaboratively to ensure that each participant's goals, as outlined in their NDIS Plan, are actively pursued. Your commitment to upholding the NDIS Code of Practise is essential in helping empower individuals with disabilities to reach their full potential.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and the ability to adapt to diverse needs. You will possess strong communication skills and demonstrate compassion and empathy in your interactions with participants.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification desirable.
- Experience in personal care services and managing challenging behaviours.
- Commitment to promoting respect and inclusion for individuals with disabilities.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet participant needs.
You will also need a Queensland Open Driver's Licence, First Aid and CPR Certificates (or the ability to obtain them), and a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting participants. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is essential.
Salary & BenefitsThis is a casual position with a competitive hourly rate of $43.23, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS). Additional benefits may include salary packaging options and ongoing training opportunities.
