What's the role?

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in executing data analytics for Second Line of Defence (2LOD) assurance reviews, assessing First Line (1LOD) risk management, decisions, frameworks, and controls. You will identify critical risks, provide insights, and recommend improvements to enhance risk management capabilities.

Your role will include conducting data analysis to support assurance activities, including evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls, and ensuring compliance with requirements. Additionally, you will deliver strategic reports with actionable recommendations, strengthening the control environment while aligning risk management with the organisation's risk appetite and strategic objectives.

What do I need?

We are seeking a high-performing individual with experience in data analytics, preferably within audit, risk, assurance, or consulting, demonstrating strong knowledge and expertise in:

  • Data analytics and advanced analytical techniques using tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, R and data visualisation platforms.
  • Demonstrate excellent reporting, writing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholder to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Knowledge of information systems, including databases, data warehouses, big data platforms, and data governance tools.
  • Data governance, management, and risk management practices, including familiarity with frameworks such as CPG 235, BCBS 239, and GDPR (desirable).
    Proficiency in the Azure analytics stack, Python scripting, machine learning, robotics, and automation technologies (desirable)
