About The Role
We are seeking expressions of interest for a GIS Officer to join the Feral Pig and Pest Project Management Team. You'll be joining a high performing, supportive and outcomes focused team in the Programs and Partnerships Units that's leading continual improvement in the way LLS delivers invasive pest animal programs across NSW.
You will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making and spatial analysis of feral pig and pest management projects. You also support the broader initiatives of the Invasive Species Program and Partnerships Team, contributing to strategic pest management outcomes.
We are looking for someone with strong GIS and analytical skills who can:
- Conduct spatial and statistical analysis to inform operational planning and strategic decision-making.
- Create high-quality visualisations and maps to communicate project outcomes and support stakeholder engagement.
- Streamline data systems and workflows to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Apps and Excel to support invasive species management activity monitoring and reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, results driven team player, comfortable working in a geographically dispersed team with limited supervision. Additionally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in GIS and spatial data management, analysis and visualisation.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and associated ESRI tools (e.g., QuickCapture, Survey 123).
- Strong skills in Power BI, Power Apps, and Excel, including advanced data manipulation and dashboard creation.
- Ability to analyse complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience in streamlining data systems and improving data workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
