Music Junction is seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and instrument-loving sales team member to join us in a casual or part-time capacity. Whether you're a performer, teacher, or music student, this is a chance to be part of a supportive team that genuinely cares about the musical journeys of our customers.

We're a family-run business with over 50 years of service to the local music community – and we're looking ahead to exciting new horizons. If you love talking shop and helping customers find the right fit – whether it's a first clarinet or an upgrade to a performance-level cello – we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting customers with brass, woodwind, and/or string instrument enquiries
  • Offering tailored advice based on genuine musical experience
  • Supporting general sales, merchandising, and customer service duties
  • Contributing to a warm, welcoming store environment across both Blackburn and Camberwell locations

Who you are:

  • A confident communicator with hands-on experience in one or more orchestral instruments (brass, woodwind, or strings)
  • Passionate about helping musicians of all levels find the right gear
  • Reliable, friendly, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Retail experience is a bonus – but musical experience is a must
  • Available for a flexible roster, including weekends as required
  • Teaching, gigging, or studying music? Even better – we'll work around your schedule
