This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 64 hours per fortnight.
Position Profile:
Under the leadership of the Surgical Nurse Co-Director and Coordinator of Nursing, the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) provides strategic and operational oversight of the Elective Surgery Waitlist team, ensuring effective management of patient access to elective procedures and the coordination of surgical scheduling in collaboration with specialty clinicians.
The CNM is accountable for maintaining and elevating clinical standards, driving innovative solutions, and achieving outcomes aligned with organisational priorities, elective surgery targets, and resource optimisation. As a senior leader within the interdisciplinary team, the CNM plays a pivotal role in delivering a patient-centred service that meets key performance indicators across quality, budget, and workforce domains.
In addition, the CNM offers expert consultation and liaison within their specialty area, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support best practice and continuous improvement in elective surgery access and delivery.
