We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer to join our dynamic team in Sydney on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the D365 F&O ecosystem, with a deep specialisation in custom development using X++. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade solutions that support core business functions, financial processes, and critical data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Development:
    Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable solutions within Dynamics 365 F&O using X++, and other relevant languages like C# and .NET.
  • Integration & Architecture:
    Lead the technical design and implementation of integrations between D365 F&O and other internal and external systems, leveraging Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management).
  • DevOps & CI/CD:
    Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Azure DevOps), and release management to ensure a streamlined and efficient development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    Provide expert-level technical support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for the D365 F&O platform and its custom components.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other technical teams to translate complex business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
  • Best Practices:
    Champion and enforce coding standards, security best practices, and maintain technical documentation to minimise technical debt.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Dynamics 365 F&O developer.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expert-level skills in X++ for customisation and development.
  • Strong knowledge of the Dynamics 365 F&O platform, including finance and supply chain modules.
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps for source control, build, and release management.
  • Demonstrable experience integrating Dynamics 365 with other systems using Azure services.
  • Familiarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach to work.
