DRC Drilling is a market-leading contract drilling company formed in June 2015. We are a specialised surface and underground drilling contractor that is part of the Raisebore Group of Companies operating throughout Australia. We specialise in providing surface and underground drilling services to the resources sector such as diamond drilling and reverse circulation drilling. We deliver quality services to our clients, safely and without compromise.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in the Cobar NSW area, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional Project Manager is to lead the Surface and Underground Drilling Operations in a safe and productive way, maintaining professional relationships on site with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain a positive work culture within DRC Drilling and clients
  • Measure and monitor performance of all employees on site
  • Keep rosters up to date to ensure maximum coverage / utilisation is achievedand allocate skill sets to maximise safe production
  • Measure and monitor servicing schedule for all equipment on site
  • Allocate equipment to maximise DRC Drilling and client requirements
  • Ensure on site operations comply with DRC Drilling, Client Safety Management Plans and Legislation
  • Contribute to the overall continuous improvement of DRC Drillings systems, processes and Safety Management Plan
  • Recognise and analyse training deficiencies and needs and recommend actions
  • Ensure the on-site reporting structure and direct line of communication is followed
  • Adhere to site specific client requirements on reporting and communication
  • Measure/monitor and report financials and budgets

ABOUT YOU

  • Driven, positive, thrive under pressure, and be able to tackle this position head-on
  • You must have a strong understanding and experience within the mining industry, specifically within the exploration, diamond, and RC drilling sectors. Any applications without experience in those areas will not progress.
  • Hold relevant Drilling Certificate 4 or higher. Management qualifications advantage.
  • You must have advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Word and experience with various safety platforms.
  • Be able to lead and influence people from across all levels of the business.
  • Be willing to travel as required to remote areas.
