Key Responsibilities

  • Lead matters from start to finish in family, wills & estates and property matters
  • Appear in court and at mediations
  • Liaise directly with clients, counsel and external parties
  • Draft advice, correspondence and court documents
  • Contribute to matter strategy and advise on risk, value and commercial outcomes
  • Manage both litigation and transactional matters, sometimes in parallel
  • Collaborate with the Principal on complex matters and key client relationships
  • Identify cross-practice opportunities to deliver holistic client solutions
  • Support matters in other areas of law depending on your interests (optional)
  • Play a key role in shaping a positive, collaborative team culture as we grow

Essential experience and qualifications

  • 5+ years post-admission in private practice across family, wills and property law
  • Critical and strategic thinker – much of your work will be complex, not routine
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise independently
  • Proactive mindset and genuine interest in contributing to firm growth
  • Current NSW practising certificate and unrestricted working rights in Australia
