QCM Group is a multi-faceted construction company with over 25 years' experience delivering small to large scale complex projects across the Northern Territory. We have grown and developed into an industry-leading contractor delivering challenging projects.

As a result of our strategic growth and winning projects, we are seeking a construction Camp Cook / Housekeeper to work in Remote communities throughout the Greater Darwin and Central Australia region. The QCM Group, Northern Territory team, have offices based in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.

What we offer:

This is a contractual position working in various remote communities. QCM Group offers weekly pay, food and accommodation on site. This is a DIDO position with potential of further contracts on completion of jobs.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 3 meals a day for up to 25 site workers
  • Weekly ordering / collection of food
  • Providing weekly menu plans and cost predictions to Management in advance
  • Maintain a clean organised kitchen and communal area
  • Weekly cleaning of rooms and linen
  • Cleaning of rooms on exit
  • Daily cleaning / refill of ablution blocks
  • Laundering of linens etc.
  • Ensuring a clean site camp to meet WHS standards
  • Reporting any WHS issues and daily compliance checks
  • Demobilization of camp

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • The ability to multi skill and forward plan
  • Excellent time management and people management skills
  • High attention to detail and safety-focused approach to work
  • Experience in working in remote communities
