We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team

What You Will Do:

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Council's procurement activities by delivering purchasing processes that reflect our commitment to:

  • Support for local business and industry

  • Ethical behaviour and fair dealing

You will provide end-to-end procurement support across Council, from generating purchase requests and sourcing quotes to overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring contract compliance. This role is all about promoting excellence in purchasing while fostering a culture of service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in a Purchasing Officer role or other administrative type position.
  • Experience in computer-based systems particularly in relation to purchasing functions.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and associated suite of programs with a strong focus on Excel and Word.
  • Proven experience in working to defined deadlines with a diverse range of stakeholders dealing with a variety of matters.
  • Experience in data entry with a strong focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of communication with internal and external customers.
